Dan Henderson – Fedor Emelianenko RESULTS – MMA BREAKING NEWS

Dan Henderson, the light heavyweight Strikeforce champion went head to head with the MMA legend, Fedor Emelianenko last night in a one round brawl. Emelianenko, the naturally larger man, attacked early, but was caught. He slowed his approach and began stalking Henderson.

Fedor’s pressure and some good strikes put Henderson on his back, Emelianenko jumped on top of him looking for the stoppage. Henderson, in trouble, lifted Fedor up by his legs, launching him forward and landed a punch underneath him, right on the chin, planting him face first into the canvas. Two follow up blows prompted the referee to stop it.

After the fight both men were respectful, but Fedor did complain about the stoppage. It was his third loss in a row.

Miesha Tate struggled in an even contest with the bantamweight champion Marloes Coenen, but found gold in the fourth round when she got the submission, capturing the title.

Tyron Woodley pulled the upset, outpointing Paul Daley via scores of 29-28 across the board.
