By Geno McGahee

The Ku Klux Klansman in prison for his role in the abduction and murder of two black men in Mississippi in 1964 has died, according to the federal bureau of prisons. James Ford Seale, was serving three life sentences after being convicted in 2007.

He was also convicted of two counts of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the deaths of Henry Hezekiah Dee and Charles Eddie Moore, two young adults of 19.

The bodies were found in July of 1964. The KKK took the teens into the woods and beat them, interrogating them about a rumor that the blacks in the area were planning an armed uprising, according to the prosecution.

Initially, Seale and another man Charles Marcus Edwards faced state murder charges in the deaths in 1964, but the charges were thrown out, quickly. The police and KKK were in collusion, and when the case was finally reopened, Seale was convicted 43 years after his crime.
