WEST MEMPHIS THREE: Will be Freed on Friday

The West Memphis Three were convicted in 1994 of killing three 8 year old boys in one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in the history of the United States. Three children that were dressed differently, into bands like Metallica and were considered social outcasts in Arkansas were railroaded, called Satanists and locked up.

Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin will be in court tomorrow and let’s hope that the call to “Free the West Memphis Three” will be heard. The DNA found on the scene did not match ANY of the three, the police forced a confession out of Jesse Misskelley, a kid that they manipulated and has an IQ far less than average. They told him that Damien had slept with his girlfriend and fed him the facts of the case to insure that the three went away. The case spawned two documentaries and several books.

Tomorrow we will find out what the situation is. The system cannot give back what they have taken away from three innocent teens, but they have suffered enough. Free the West Memphis Three!
