Rey Mysterio CAREER OVER – WWE BREAKING NEWS

WWE Superstar and fan favorite Rey Mysterio is on the mend with a severe injury and his wrestling future is in serious jeopardy. Mysterio aggravated a simple “tweak” at a house show into a full tear of his MCL and ACL. This injury is in Mysterio’s numerously reconstructed knee and occurred while attempting a baseball slide under the ropes, Mysterio was written off TV by having Alberto Del Rio “injure” his arm. Rey Mysterio tweeted earlier this afternoon that he’s received his MRI results on his knee and will have to under go another reconstruction to repair it.

“Buenas tardes. Siento mucho el tener que dejarlos sin mi presencia en el ring por UNOs meses! Sirugia8/26 le pido a dios qca la ultima!619!”
The above tweet translated is saying he’ll be undergoing knee surgery next Friday (August 26th) and will be out of the ring for several months.

Mysterio added “Sorry4 the let down! Promise to make it back as soon as possible! Gonna miss what I luv most-ENTERTAINING U’s!619”

This will be Mysterio’s 12th (yes that number is correct) knee surgery in ONLY his left knee, and only time will tell if he can recover again. Rey Mysterio should be hanging the boots up for good after this surgery, but we all know that may be too realistic of an option for the machismo that rules pro wrestling. But maybe, just maybe, Edge aka Adam Copeland has started a trend to not hang on until it’s too late.
