Don Lapre DEAD: TV Pitchman SUICIDE – BREAKING DETAILS

The TV pitchman Don Lapre was found dead in an Arizona jail cell yesterday, an apparent suicide. The investigation is ongoing surrounding the death. Lapre was on trial for fraud in the sum of 52 million dollars.

In the early to middle 1990s, Lapre sold phone lines with the promise of wealth, claiming that he made 50,000 dollars a week from his small apartment. He continued his get rich quick schemes, with a pyramid scheme for “The Greatest Vitamin in the World.” That led to 41 counts of conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, and promotional money laundering with his company.

If convicted, he would have faced up to 25 years in prison.
