Andre Ward – Carl Froch BOXING RESULTS

Andre Ward, 25-0, 13 KO’s, has won the Super Six tournament with a unanimous decision over Carl Froch, 28-2, 20 KO’s, unifying the WBA and WBC Super Middleweight titles in the process. The scores were 115-113 (twice) and 118-110.

Ward’s puzzling, mauling style confused Froch. He was unable to time Ward, who mixed holding with occasional effective punches. Ward has a very Bernard Hopkins-like style that isn’t pretty but gets the job done. It is a great accomplishment for him to win the tournament, overcoming some very good fighters along the way.

Lucian Bute is on the radar now for Ward in a highly anticipated title eliminator. Bute is incredibly talented and undefeated and would be a huge challenge for the man of the night, Ward.
