Rashad Evans NEXT for Jon Jones, BUT Phil Davis Must Be Destroyed – UFC News

By Vinnie Franklin

Rashad Evans, 16-1, is next, according to UFC owner, Dana White, but he must first get past the test of Phil Davis, 9-0, this Saturday night on FOX.

Evans looked outstanding in his last fight at UFC 133. He’s ready for Jon Jones. When he dismantled Tito Ortiz with ease, the unsaid challenge was made. Jon “Bones” Jones needs to fight this guy and Dana White is going to make it happen, but Phil Davis hopes to spoil.

The big problem for Davis is that he’s not the same level as Evans. Even with his undefeated record, I can’t imagine him doing much against the force that is Evans. I suspect that Evans will win in the first or second by TKO, but you cannot discount anyone in the Octagon. Davis is undefeated for a reason, but if Evans is in his right mind, look for him to move to 17-1 and look for Jon Jones to be ready for the challenge come April.
