Boxing Says Goodbye to Angelo Dundee, Wayne Kelly & Goody Petronelli

By Geno McGahee

Boxing has taken three blows with the deaths of Angelo Dundee, referee Wayne Kelly and Guerino “Goody” Petronelli. Kelly has refereed many bouts, including Riddick Bowe vs. Andrew Golota. He died of a sudden heart attack.

Goody Petronelli is best known for his work with Marvin Hagler, possibly the best middleweight in the history of boxing. Petronelli passed away from natural causes at the age of 88.

Goody and his brother Pasquale “Pat,” who died in September groomed Hagler and fought the system and conquered the boxing world.

RSR says goodbye to all three boxing personalities. RIP Angelo, Wayne and Goody.
