WBO #11 flyweight Glenn “Boyet” Donaire (19-4-1, 10 KOs), brother of boxing superstar Nonito Donaire, scored a hard-fought twelve round unanimous decision over two-time world title challenger Omar Salado (24-5-2, 15 KOs) on Friday night at the recently renovated Auditorio Plaza Condesa in Mexico City. In an exciting two-way slugfest where both fighters had their moments, Donaire built an early lead, then withstood a late rally by Salado to win 116-112, 118-111, 115-113.
