By Geno McGahee

Tomorrow it will all go down in Las Vegas. Floyd Mayweather, JR., 42-0, 26 KO’s, takes on Miguel Cotto, 37-2, 30 KO’s, in the main event of an HBO PPV, which will also feature Shane Mosley taking on the young and powerful, Saul Alvarez.

Today, Mayweather weighed in at a light 151 pounds, proving that he is in incredible shape and may be focusing on speed to overcome the power and strength of the defending WBA Champion.

Cotto came in at 154 pounds, looking fit and ready, went face to face with Floyd. The bravado that has been missing from Mayweather in recent press conferences was on display as he spoke to the champion during the stare down.

It’s go time tomorrow night and the electricity is consuming the boxing community. This fight has become a much bigger and more interesting fight since its announcement, due in large part to the different demeanor of Cotto and the superb job that HBO has done of promoting it on their network.

An interesting spectator will be Manny Pacquiao, who will be taking on Timothy Bradley in June. Although the odds of Pacquiao-Mayweather are slim, a potential Cotto rematch could be in order if we see an upset in Vegas.
