In 1991, a racially fueled war began with the LA police getting caught on tape beating a man with excessive force. The cops were given a shady deal, according to some, and it led to the infamous LA riots. Rodney King was the man that was beaten severely by the police and would come out during the riots to deliver his notable saying: “Can’t we all just get along?”
King was found dead at the bottom of his swimming pool today at the age of 47. There are no signs of foul play and the decision as this point is an “accidental drowning,” but there is speculation of drug usage being the reason as to why he drowned. King has a long history of run ins with the law and drug addiction.
Over the years, King has made the rounds in celebrity boxing matches and on some television shows, attempting to use his minor celebrity status to turn a buck. Stay tuned for more details…
