The shooter has been identified in the Colorado shooting deaths of 12 and injuring 59 others. James Egan Holmes, 24, is currently in police custody and the investigators are saying that he acted alone, but why he did it remains a mystery.

He came into a midnight showing of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, fully armed and in heavy armor. He initially bought a ticket to the show and then went back outside to get into his uniform. He would open fire and throw tear gas into the crowd.

After Holmes was nabbed by police, he told them that he was the “Joker” and then went on to inform the officers that his apartment was booby trapped with explosives, and when they investigated, they proved it to be true.

Holmes painted his hair red, which was strange considering the green hair of the character that he was supposedly portraying. With no criminal record and a college graduate, this is still a big question mark. Why would a person do something like this?

We should have answers in the near future. The willingness of Holmes to talk about his explosives in his apartment and his character portrayal will probably mean that he will speak freely of his reasoning behind the crime. Stay tuned for more details…
