The Mexican superstar, Canelo Alvarez, seems to be the most talked about future foe in camp Mayweather, and that’s great for boxing. Floyd would have never lost to the pretender to the throne, Manny Pacquiao, but he is in for a rude awakening when he takes on the vicious body puncher, Alvarez.
Floyd Mayweather, JR., had issues with Miguel Cotto and Cotto sprinted out the door the second they tried to match him with Alvarez. He screamed “No Mas” before they even offered him an amount. He knew what Alvarez brings. Mayweather’s ego may open up this door and lead to his first defeat.
Alvarez has chopped down Josesito Lopez in his last fight and gave the worst beating of his career to Shane Mosley. They considered him “too green” to face Mayweather, but with the “Money” Man slowing down, there is plenty of room for Alvarez to make his stand. It may be now or never for this fight.
Look for Alvarez – Mayweather JR to be the next big fight, and look for it to be the end of the Mayweather run as the best pound for pound fighter in the game.
