Mikey Garcia, 31-0, 26 KO’s, dropped Orlando Salido, 39-12-2, 27 KO’s, repeatedly, dominating every round before getting hit with a head butt and suffering a broken nose, leading to the end of the fight. The doctor stopped the fight in the Garcia corner after examining the nose, which brought the fight to the scorecards: 79-70, 79-69 and 79-69 for the new WBO featherweight champ, Mikey Garcia.

There was little doubt as to the outcome from the opening bell. Salido was dropped twice in the very first round. The head butt that ended the fight looked like it may have been intentional, but whatever the case, Garcia had this one won. It was a great performance for him.
