The gun control debate is in full swing. Jim Carrey’s recent “FUNNY OR DIE” video has captured the opinion of many that want to see Americans give up some of their rights, while others, like talk show host, Alex Jones, fights to maintain the right to own a gun. This debate has been an ongoing one that was recently re-ignited after the Sandy Hook shooting, which has led to several conspiracy theories and questions. In Geno McGahee’s LONE GUNMAN, the Sandy Hook conspiracy is explored.
Geno McGahee, the filmmaker behind the horror hits EVIL AWAKENING (2001), RISE OF THE SCARECROWS (2003) and FAMILY SECRET (2009) has plenty of work ready to be unleashed on the public. SCARY TALES (2010) is set for release this year and so too is his monster movie SICKLE (2011). Taking a step away from the horror genre, McGahee elected to cover the topic of crisis actors and a conspiracy involving a school shooting in his short film LONE GUNMAN. McGahee noted that the film is “not about Sandy Hook, but covers the idea behind the popular conspiracy that the government would orchestrate a tragedy or manufacture one.”
LONE GUNMAN premieres May 4th along with the US Premiere of SCARY TALES at the Palmer Historical and Arts Center in Three Rivers, Massachusetts. To learn more, click here!
