Sergey Kovalev KNOCKS OUT Nathan Cleverly: Boxing News & HBO Boxing Results

Sergey Kovalev, 22-0-1, 20 KO’s, proved too strong for Nathan Cleverly, 26-1, 12 KO’s, finding the mark in the third round, dropping the WBO light heavyweight champion twice, and finishing the fight in the fourth round with a barrage that would drop the former champ again.

Kovalev opted to take on Cleverly instead of Bernard Hopkins, but there is a possibility that the match will happen in the near future. Kovalev promised to put Cleverly “on blast” and he released the dogs on him, as he vowed to do. He is one of the most exciting fighters in the game right now.
