“Beat Desert Storm? Nice Try Fella!” – George Smith, RSR Reader

Timothy Bradley, 31-0, 12 KO’s, got his career back on track with a dominant victory over Juan Manuel Marquez, 55-7-1, 40 KO’s, and got the split decision by scores of 112-115, 115-113 and 116-112. RSR had it 116-112 for Bradley and now Floyd Mayweather JR may have a viable opponent that could give him a go.

Marquez couldn’t pull the trigger and just followed Bradley around the ring. Bradley used Floyd-like tactics to confuse the older Marquez and for the first time, Marquez looked his age. He couldn’t find the mark and Bradley continually beat him to the punch.

In the final round, Marquez was coming on and was rocked by a left hook. The reflexes just aren’t there anymore and Bradley should get a lot of credit for fighting an incredibly smart fight. He is a star and deserves praise from the boxing fans.
