Adonis Stevenson KNOCKS OUT Tony Bellew in 6: BOXING NEWS & HBO BOXING RESULTS

By Geno McGahee

Adonis Stevenson, 23-1, 20 KO’s, had some difficulties dealing with the height and defense of Tony Bellew, 20-2-1, 12 KO’s, before tracking him down and landing a left uppercut in round six and dropping him. He would then chase him to the corner and pummel him until the referee rescued him.

Stevenson is a force in the light heavyweight division and is on a collision course with fellow champion, Sergey Kovalev, in a huge showdown. I doubt that Bernard Hopkins would want a piece of either one of these power-punchers.

The light heavyweight division has plenty of talent and if Andre Ward elects to move up, there will be plenty of challenges for him to take on. Boxing is very alive and well.
