Manny Pacquiao Vs Floyd Mayweather, JR: Super Fight Signed and Sealed – Breaking Boxing News

By “Bad” Brad Berkwitt

So the made up headline grabbed you right? Well, in 2009, it would have grabbed me too. But, in 2014, who really cares? Manny Pacquiao is shot. Anyone who really knows boxing will agree that his one side beating of Brandon Rios, meant nothing at all. Like it or not, Floyd Mayweather, JR. is the best in boxing today and there is no one in who can beat him, except Floyd and Father Time. Mayweather, JR.’s last challenge came in 2007 against a badly faded Oscar De La Hoya who gave him some rough spots behind a stiff jab, but even those moments, did not add up to a split decision for PBF, when it should have been a unanimous decision. The decision was based more on what De La Hoya used to be and the excitement – $$$ he brought to the sport of boxing for many years.

Floyd is the modern day Muhammad Ali. As Ali faced a large part of the boxing world who would have loved to see him lose, PBF faces that today, but is just too damn good for the judges to even rob him. Outside of the ring, he has brilliantly marketed himself and his PPV’s do huge numbers which is well documented. Floyd knows, that in 2014, a Pacquiao fight means nothing and so do the “Real” boxing fans.

Pacquiao has tax problems that are well documented, and many insiders are saying the “God fearing version and gambling free” are a total farce to try and continue to endear his “nuthugger” fan base to him. If Pacquiao really wants to keep his boxing legacy, he should retire now from the sport that has brought him millions upon millions of dollars and leave Floyd to find someone, though it will be very hard, that can truly give him a challenge in the ring. If the fight should happen, I am going on the record with PBF by unanimous decision, where he barely breaks a sweat.
