Lee Selby Wins in Six Rounds Over Rendall Munroe – Boxing News

British featherweight beltholder Lee Selby (18-1, 7 KOs) defended his domestic belt and won the vacant European title with a sixth round TKO over Rendall Munroe (27-4-1, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. Selby dominated every minute of the fight and finally got the stoppage from referee Ian John Lewis when he cornered Munroe and pummeled him. Time was 1:31.

Heavyweight Anthony Joshua (4-0, 4 KOs), the 2012 Olympic gold medalist, easily stopped Dorian Darch (7-3, 1 KO) in round two.

In a lightweight clash, Gary Buckland (28-3, 9 KOs) and former world champion Gavin Rees (37-4-1, 18 KOs) battled to a split decision over twelve hard fought rounds. Scores were 115-114 and 116-113 for Buckland, 116-113 for Rees.

Welterweight Dale Evans (8-1-1, 3 KOs) edged Erick Ochieng (14-3, 4 KOs) in an eight-rounder by a score of 77-76.
