Last night, in front of packed house, Valarie and I attended a comedy show put on at the K2 Restaurant & Lounge located in Featherstone Shopping Center at 14633 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge, Virginia Hosted by the very funny Skiba. RSR’s very own Feature Writer and Professional Comedian Lawrence “Two Months In The Rear” Owens opened up for Comedian Teddy Carpenter and worked off the ropes scoring a devastating knockout to the funny bones of the enthusiastic crowd that sat ringside.

This was my first time at the new K2 Restaurant and Lounge which in years past, was called Kilroys. It had been many years since I had been to this spot and I was quite surprised on the great job that Owner Leonard Gillespie did to the place. Gillespie, now the owner since 2008, is really trying to bring the local Woodbridge residents and beyond a great night out to include a fantastic food menu and a full bar in one half of his establishment.

K2 has shown World Cup Games recently, MMA PPV cards and the highly successful Floyd Mayweather, JR. vs Shane Mosley PPV match this past May, where Gillespie, said, “K2 was jammed packed with true fight fans that night.” It’s great to see after living here for almost 20 years a spot that offers a little bit of everything for local Woodbridge residents. I encourage all of the RSR readers in the area to either check out a comedy show, go and shake a tail feather on the dance floor to the various DJ’s they have on any given night, or bring the family for a great meal. K2 Restaurant and Lounge is a family owned spot and the service will not dissapoint.
