Jimmy Lange Wins By Knockout at the Patriot Center

Jimmy Lange knocked down Jimmy LeBlanc early in the second round and then followed up by knocking out the Boston-based fighter at the 1:30 mark of the second round following a string of body blows. After a slow start in the first round where LeBlanc caught the former Contender star several times, Lange quickly took control in the second delivering numerous shots to the body which visibly hurt a grimacing LeBlanc.

It was Lange’s 10th straight hometown fight at the Patriot Center. Lange announced plans to return to the George Mason venue for an 11th time November 6, but will look for at least one out-of-town fight between now and then. Among the crowd of 3,833 in attendance at the Ice Promotions card were former world champion William Joppy, former Redskins linebacker and radio personality LaVar Arrington, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Kris “Savage” McCray and the always popular Washington Redskins Hogettes. .
