Last night in front of a crowd of well over 1800, THE JOINT at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa Oklahoma came alive for Legacy 35 Championship Fighting. This was Debbie’s and my first time covering an event at THE JOINT and we were both impressed how well run the venue is. The card started on time (7:00 PM) with singer Angela Fritz, delivering a strong Star Spangled Banner to get the action started.

In the opening fight, Josh Anderson defeated Aaron McKenzie in a 3 round match by the scores of 29-28 (twice) and 30-27. Chase McDougal defeated Todd Hess by a TKO at 1:25 of the first round. Derrick Adkins, from Edmond OK defeated Darryl Wilson, Sepulpa OK by a unanimous decision. Julian Learned, Edmund OK defeated Austin Anderson, Noble OK when he stopped him at 1:15 of the first round by guillotine choke. Micah Stockton, Mountain View MO defeated Cody Fuller, Sepulpa OK at 2:49 of the first round by a rear legged choke.

Justin Rader defeated Hector Arteaga at 3:22 of the first round by a rear legged choke. James Warren, Owasso OK defeated Jesse Chaffin, Tulsa OK at 4:17 of the fourth round by TKO. Derrick Krantz, Marshall TX defeated Daniel Roberts, Rockford ILL at 2:49 of the first round by a head and arm choke. Rafael Lovato, JR. OKC, made his successful pro debut in the cage by defeating Canaan Grigsby, Denver CO at 4:07 of the first round, by head and arm triangle. Dave Burrow, defeated Ed Cline, JR. at 3:21 of the first round by arm bar submission. Andrew Todhunter defeated Levi Avera at 3:34 of the first round by rear legged choke.

In the main event, for the Legacy Light Heavyweight Championship of the world, Myron Dennis, OKC the defending champion was defeated by Leo Leite from Brazil by TKO stoppage when the referee called it a halt at 4:50 in round four. Myron started strong in the first round, but faded with Leite taking the next couple of rounds where he blooded Dennis until the referee stepped in.

It was a great evening of MMA action with the fans leaving very pleased from all accounts.
