Life of a Football Player: A Deep Look Inside the Mind of an Athlete

By now, everyone knows that LSU defeated New Mexico State 63-7 in Saturday’s game in Baton Rouge. Most people know the LSU’s starting QB Anthony Jennings struggled, and was eventually replaced by Freshman QB Brandon Harris. Some people know that somewhere along the turnovers that occurred while Jennings was at the helm, some of the LSU fans became restless, voicing their displeasure at his performance. But do you know what effect the 12th man has on the psyche of a football player?

Join us this week as we interview high school football players, from different schools in different parts of the country. These student-athletes are in varying levels of success, with one being a solid player for a team that will contend for a state championship, and the other being a solid player on a team that is building a program, just recently earning its first victory in two years. These young men are about to embark on their own college careers. What factors play into their choice of colleges? Will fan support influence their decision?

What goes through their minds during the week? On game day? After the game?

How do they balance their life off of the football field with their time on the field? And what lessons will they take from their experiences?
