Another scandal is brewing with ties to the Baltimore Ravens. The scandal doesn’t involve a football player or domestic violence, however, the repercussions could have quite an impact on the community. Former Ravens Cheerleader, Molly Shattuck, was recently arrested and has been indicted on 9 offenses stemming from an inappropriate relationship with a 15 year old boy. Forty-seven year old Shattuck, is recently divorced, and the mother of three children, one of which is a 15 year old son.

Shattuck’s claim to fame is that she was the NFL’s oldest cheerleader at the time when she made the Ravens’ squad. She went on to cheer for two years, starting in 2005, and has most recently written a book on healthy living. She was also married to one of the richest men in Maryland, and prides herself on living a clean and healthy lifestyle.

As the details of the indictment unfold, most disturbing is that she is alleged to have used her son in making contact with her 15 year old victim. Her son unwittingly passed along Shattuck’s phone number, messaging the young man on a popular social networking site that his mom is”obsessed with you”. Thereafter, Shattuck began conversing with the young man and the relationship spun out of control, finally culminating with a Labor Day vacation where she is accused of 3 counts of providing alcohol to minors. She is also charged with 2 counts of 3rd degree rape and 4 counts of 2nd degree unlawful sexual contact. If convicted, she could face up to 25 years in prison. She has been released from custody on $84,000 bond.

Shattuck has plead not guilty to the charges.
