Tyson Fury – Dereck Chisora SHOCKING Result

british boxing scene headerUnbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) easily defeated Dereck Chisora (20-5, 13 KOs) scoring a tenth round TKO in a WBO eliminator to determine the mandatory WBO challenger for world champion Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday night before 20,000+ at the ExCel Arena in London, England. It was a one-sided affair as the 6’9 Fury, who previously beat Chisora on points in 2011, easily kept Chisora on the end of his long reach. “Dellboy” took a lot of punishment and was never able to get anything going so Fury, who fought mostly out of the southpaw stance, had no reason to engage. Chisora’s corner pulled the plug after round ten. Fury also claimed the British and Commonwealth titles.

In a highly charged grudge match between unbeaten middleweights, 2008 Olympian Billy Joe Saunders (21-0, 11 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over Chris Eubank Jr. (18-1, 13 KOs). Saunders swept through the first four rounds. Eubanks came to life in the middle rounds, but Saunders regained the advantage and fought through a desperate late assault by Eubank to win 115-114, 115-113 Saunders, 116-113 Eubank. The bout was a WBO middleweight eliminator with the winner to face the Andy Lee-Matt Korobov winner for the world title. Saunders also retained his European, Commonwealth and British belts.

Welterweight Frankie Gavin (21-1, 13 KOs) scored an uneventful twelve round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Bradley Skeete (18-1, 7 KOs). Scores were 116-112, 116-113, 116-113.

Former heavyweight title challenger Eddie Chambers (41-4, 22 KOs) stopped Dorian Darch (8-4, 1 KO) in round three.

Super middleweight Frank Buglioni (14-1, 11 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Andrew Robinson (13-0, 4 KOs). Buglioni dropped Robinson in round seven to win by a score of 97-92, 97-93, 97-92 to regain the vacant WBO European belt.

Unbeaten super featherweight Liam Walsh (17-0, 11 KOs) scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over Gary Sykes (27-3, 6 KOs) in a bout for the British and Commonwealth belts.
