The WWE is struggling with the direction they want to go in 2015, the company is desperate to find the next “big” star like John Cena and this is no secret.

It is being reported that the locker room in the WWE is “greatly divided” on who should win this month’s annual Royal Rumble match.

There are many people within WWE from corporate on down that feel that Roman Reigns should win the Rumble. As we know they feel that Reigns is the future of the company, “the next John Cena” if you must. But…There are other people, myself included, who feel Daniel Bryan should be the guy and if he isn’t, there will be another disappointing end to this Rumble much like last year’s HORRIBLE event.

There are company officials who believe that Bryan winning the Rumble and main eventing WrestleMania 31 is a “huge risk” because of his injury history. Some officials honestly believe that Bryan is a “B level player” and will never truly be a main eventer. It was said that Bryan’s long-term future is still in question even though he’s been medically cleared by doctors to compete.

Bryan’s current situation is everything he has endured physically in the Indies and wrestling mainly the “strong style” has done too much damage to be the face of the company. I disagree completely. Bryan, just like Cena and Reigns can be protected and have his style toned down to preserve his longevity, the company just has to be willing to do this.

We’ll see how this all plays out, but I feel it’s a HUGE mistake to make Roman Reigns the face of the company so soon. He is too green and to valuable an asset to not build up properly like previous main eventers.
