Julian “Hammer Hands” Rodriguez DESTROYS Raul Tovar – Boxing News

Ring 2Unbeaten super lightweight KO artist Julian “Hammer Hands” Rodriguez (9-0, 8 KOs) has done it again! The big-punching Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey native thrilled the crowd inside The Corral at the USF Sundome in Tampa, Florida, by demolishing Raul Tovar (14-9-1, 4 KOs) in the first round. The normally granite-chinned Tovar had figured to go some rounds, but Rodriguez immediately got him out of there with three fast knockdowns.

Unbeaten Brazilian 2012 Olympic silver medalist Esquiva Falcao (7-0, 5 KOs) scored an impressive second TKO over Mike Tufariello (4-2-1, 4 KOs), of Dallas, Texas, on Saturday night inside The Corral at the USF Sundome in Tampa, Florida. Falcao scored two knockdowns and the referee waved it off with Tufariello under heavy fire.

Welterweight Clarence Booth (10-1, 6 KOs) impressively destroyed Osenohad Vazquez (8-3-1, 3 KOs) in the first round. Booth dropped Vazquez with an uppercut and got the referee’s stoppage with his brutal followup barrage. Time was 2:28.

Unbeaten featherweight Christopher “Pitufo” Diaz moved to 9-0, 5 KOs with a six round unanimous decision over Luis Ruiz Jr. (5-4-1, 2 KOs). Scores were 60-53 across the board.

Unbeaten super bantamweight Neslan Machado (9-0, 6 KOs) won a hard fought six round unanimous decision over Ernesto Garza (6-4, 3 KOs). Scores were 58-55, 58-55, 59-54. Garza was deducted a point for hitting behind the head.
