Former WBO interim world bantamweight champion and hometown favorite Alejandro “Payasito” Hernandez (29-11-2, 15 KOs) pounded out a ten round unanimous decision over countryman Martin “Pini” Casillas (15-5, 8 KOs) of Cocotitlan, Mexico on Friday night at the Auditorio Blackberry in Mexico City. “Payasito” had all he could handle with the aggressive Casillas, but came away with a 97-93, 97-93, 98-92 verdict to claim the vacant WBC Latino bantamweight title.
