Manny Pacquiao: Tax Shocker – Tickets on Sale

How’s about 4 tickets to the richest fight on the planet?

That is what Manny Pacquiao gave to the seller of a signature mansion in one of the most expensive suburbs of Beverly Hills just so he could eliminate the competition from the other bidders who were apparently raising the stakes by over one million dollars.

Given that the MGM is granting complimentary tickets to anyone who credits their betting account with 250,000 dollars for fight weekend (non-withdrawal), this could be seen as paying the market rate!

Hungry he is not, and with these lavish spends, and the prospect of great riches following relative tightening of the purse strings after the in depth tax investigation and freezing of assets could lead one to believe there is a haze surrounding the fighting Congressman.

Certain the build-up to this fight is very different with respect to the media tours that have been trimmed right down in anticipation of a larger than normal dose of All-Access documentaries running for one month prior to the showdown. But could this change in hype feel any different for both fighters and throw each off course?

The truth is we only ever see a fraction of what goes on in boxing. Even if there is more media presence, it is still just a fraction of the time the fighters are putting in behind the scenes, and this will not affect their preparation more than the other fights they have encountered. What will affect them are age, their hunger and maybe even the biased judging that Evander Holyfield has been warning of. Yes, sir that’s right, Evander Holyfield is convinced that the judges will not allow Mayweather, JR. to get out of this game unbeaten, because it is bad for the boxing business. Hearing this does make you suspicious of the Montell Griffin upset handed out to Roy Jones, JR. by disqualification when RJJ was marching ahead to what would otherwise have been a 50-0 record.

Either way, we will watch boxing now and for years to come, speculating as we do.
