Let’s get one thing straight, regardless of what happens on May 2nd, Mayweather and Pacquaio are the greatest fighters of our generation. They are modern day all time greats. Their resumes and accomplishments speak for themselves, despite accusations from critics and fanatics of the other man. Both have risen from troubled environments, where they were destined to fail, to become a couple of the most talented, and richest, athletes on earth. These two deserve all the credit in the world, but, unfortunately, some fans are more concerned with discrediting great fighters they do not like, rather then celebrating them for rising to the top of the sport they claim to love.

A true fan of the sport will show the utmost respect for both men as the greatest fighters of our time. Let’s show some class and respect the loser on May 2nd. Let’s refrain from posting childish memes mocking the loser. Let’s not use May 3rd and the proceeding weeks to make boxing fans look like a bunch of immature, uneducated, degenerates. They both have their faults but let’s put aside personal dislike and respect these legends for what they have done in the ring as once in a lifetime talents.

Both men have already sealed their hall of fame ballots, and their places in history, this is just the cherry on top for the winner. Both men are approaching their final fight, and a late career loss to a fellow all time great is nothing to be criticized for no matter how the loss plays out.
These two men gave us what we all asked for in delivering this super fight, the least we can do to thank them is to send them off with dignity and respect. At the end of the night, this could be the last time we see the loser on the grand stage. Let’s give them thanks for all they have given to the sport we love. We will never see another Mayweather and Pacquiao again.
