Terrence Crawford Destroys Thomas Dulorme: Bring on Floyd Mayweather, JR

Last night, in the opening bout on HBO’s Boxing After Dark, Terrence Crawford, 25-0-0 17 KO’s, knocked out Thomas Dulorme, 22-1-0 14 KO’s, to win the WBO junior welterweight championship, and become a two division champion in just his first fight at the junior welterweight limit!

Terrence Crawford, last year’s fighter of the year, proved to be the best young champion in the sport last night. Dulorme came out showing speed, power and throwing in high volume, which won him a couple of the early rounds, but although he was being outworked, it was evident that Crawford was calm, in control and setting traps. In round six, Crawford caught Dulorme, dropped him three times, and impressively knocked out the bigger man in his first fight in the higher weight division.

The sky’s the limit for Crawford who has the potential to be the best fighter in the sport within a couple of years. The headlining bout on HBO featured two warriors that Crawford would have an easy night out boxing in Ruslan Provodnikov and Lucas Matthysse. Right now there isn’t a man at 140lbs and below that I can see doing anything more than winning a couple of rounds against the ultra talented Crawford.
