Antonio Orozco, 22-0,15 KO’s, decisioned Emmanuel Taylor, 18-4, 12 KO’s, in a FOTY type scrap. It was a back and forth type of affair with many shifts in momentum. At the end of the bout, the judges favored Orozco’s work rate over Taylor’s precision.

Jose Benavidez, 23-0, 16 KO’s, carried Jorge Paez, JR., 38-6-2, 23 KO’s, before finishing him with the 12, showing once again that he has the talent to go all the way, but also highlighting that he doesn’t utilize his ability as effectively as he could.

Mexican prospect Adrian Estrella, 22-1, 20 KO’s, was upset in a big way by Eden Sonsona, 34-6-2, 12 KO’s. The Filipino showed no fear, came right at Estrella and finished him with a crushing right hook in the second round.

Damian Jonak, a Polish light-middleweight, extended his record to 39-0-1 (21 KO’s) via a ten-round points victory over Tunisia’s, Ayoub Nefzi, 23-5-1, 4 KO’s.

In a showdown in my hometown (at a local strip club), veteran Manuel Perez chopped down “Chop Chop” DeMarcus Corley. “Manny” overwhelmed the southpaw with persistent pressure and left him unable to continue in the 6th.
