PACKYS-WORLD-500x300By Packy “Boom Boom” Goldstein

Oy Vay, are you going to hear it today… Sadie is so funny still after 50 years of marriage. Her and Alvin got along so well because they were fast wits when it came to humor and Al’s son, “Bad” Brad followed in his father’s footsteps for sure. The other night, I was up late watching TV  and Sadie walks into the room. It was about 3:30 AM  and on the TV, a commercial for Viagra came on. At the end of the commercial, the famous line “if your erection lasts longer than four hours, seek medical attention”.

Well, without blinking an eye, Sadie says to me, “Packy, if your erection lasts longer than three minutes, bring it in the bedroom and I will ensure you get some medical attention right to your putz”! I fell out on the floor laughing. Hey Al, did you hear her say that up in heaven pal? I can hear you laughing with that great laugh of yours.

So Manny Pacquiao had a shoulder injury going into the Mayweather fight? So freaking what! Either back out, or fight with everything you got. I saw my buddy Rocky Graziano fight one time with a 102 temperature and a hurt knee back in 1950, against tough Joe Curcio at the Miami Stadium in Miami Florida with Al. Rocky told Al, “I have to get Curcio out of there quick because I am burning up and my knee is in bad shape.” Rocky got him out in the first round and never said a word to the media about it.

Pacquiao is a great fighter, but the way he acted when Max Kellerman interviewed him after the fight was embarrassing and even worse, the post fight press conference.

Jim Lampley…. Is it just me, or does he need a cheerleading skirt and pom pom for any house HBO Fighter? He is so in love with himself it is disgusting to me. In fact, he reminds me of a Disc Jockey at an old AM Radio station down here that was called WKAT on 1360 AM. The Disc Jockey was Jack McDermott and he had an ego the size of Arthur Godfrey Drive on Miami Beach. He would end his show like this. “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice”.

Well, Al would say, “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be Jack McDermott”. That would crack me up because like Lampley, McDermott had an EGO the size of the entire state of Florida.

Those were the days…..
