Bo Dallas Knows Best: Upcoming Booking Against Neville Much Needed Boost

Bo Dallas, the smiling and cheerful yet borderline psychotic, real-life brother of Bray Wyatt is finally getting a meaningful booking against NXT rival Neville after wandering aimlessly for months and then recovering from an injury. The two will face off at Elimination Chamber on Sunday, May 31 in what could be an entertaining match with some meaning. Neville and Bo Dallas are the number 1 and number 2 longest reigning NXT Champions in history, and Neville is the one who beat Bo Dallas to take the title.

The WWE rivalry really commenced on the May 18 edition of RAW when Bo Dallas randomly confronted Neville, referring to their NXT history, and then targeted his taped-up knee immediately prior to a match with King Barrett. During the match, Bo Dallas sat at the announcer table and provided hilarious commentary. Bo Dallas again confronted Neville in the May 25 edition of RAW, targeting Neville’s knee after he defeated Stardust in a match. The continued post-match interferences by the inspirational Bo Dallas certainly sets up Neville as the underdog going into Elimination Chamber, but I foresee Neville winning this match. WWE has big plans for Neville and is unlikely to have him suffer a clean loss to Bo Dallas. The rivalry between the two will likely continue for several weeks and they could face off again at another paper view in the coming months.

Despite his expected loss, Bo Dallas is in desperate need of an adequate opponent and worthwhile rivalry. Like many other talented wrestlers, WWE Creative has failed in giving Bo Dallas purpose and viable opponents. Dallas is great on the microphone, hilarious at the announcer table, and a talented wrestler in the ring. His acting ability is also something to be praised, as there are so many in the WWE right now that could certainly use much more training in that field. Dallas’ ability to go from an over exaggerated smile to completely psychotic and angry, back to his trademark smile is something to be admired. I find Bo Dallas very entertaining to watch and hope that WWE rewards him soon with more rivalries and matches. My hope is one day WWE Creative teams him up with his brother Bray Wyatt, in a true Wyatt Family reunion. I will not hold my breath though. In the meantime, I am satisfied with a Bo Dallas-Neville match, even though Dallas will likely lose.
