Is Daniel Bryan’s Career Over? WWE Legend Bret Hart Thinks So – Breaking Wrestling News

In a recent interview, WWE legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart stated that “Daniel Bryan is finished. He’ll never wrestle again. I do not think he knows it yet. For all intents and purposes, he had the exact same thing happen to him that happened to me after Bill Goldberg kicked me in the head. One day, you learn it’s over. Doctors tell you that you can’t wrestle and you’ll never wrestle again. I lost millions of dollars because of that. I pray that it’s not the same for Daniel Bryan.”

Bret Hart’s comments represent a possible reality of the current state of Daniel Bryan’s wrestling career. In June 2014, Bryan was forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship after sustaining a serious neck injury that kept him sidelined for months. Following his return and winning the Intercontinental Championship belt, another injury forced Bryan again to relinquish the belt. Presently, Bryan continues to battle neck and shoulder injuries and remains sidelined from competing in the ring for the foreseeable future. However, while Bryan cannot wrestle at the moment, he remains one of the most popular wrestlers among WWE fans and continues to play an active role with the company, including making speaking appearances on Monday Night Raw, Smackdown, and other WWE-related activities.

Daniel Bryan and the WWE in general remain unsure when and if he will ever return to the ring. Bryan’s injuries are serious and could easily worsen if he competes again, something the WWE may not want to risk. Additionally, if Bryan does achieve a miraculous recovery and returns, the WWE may be reluctant to have him compete and ever win a championship belt again. This would certainly lead to heartbreak among the fans, whom remain loyal to the former champ. The whole situation is heartbreaking, as Bryan’s story and career is an inspiration and few have the passion and love for wrestling that Bryan does.
