WWE Likely to Keep Daniel Bryan from Wrestling Despite Being Cleared by Doctors – Breaking Wrestling News

One of the burning questions on WWE fans’ minds is when is Daniel Bryan coming back to wrestle. Well, according to Nikki Bella, who revealed on the show Total Divas, he may never be coming back to wrestle. While that may be a little extreme, it is safe to say that we may not be seeing him wrestle for a while due to numerous issues.

It is not secret that Daniel Bryan has experienced his share of injuries, particularly serious injuries occurring in short spans. Bryan has not wrestled since mid-April 2015 due to pre-existing and new injuries, to include a serious neck injury and multiple concussions. There is no doubt that Bryan has a long medical history of concussions, causing a lot of concern among WWE management. However, in July, Bryan admitted to Sports Illustrated that doctors have cleared him to wrestle following his April injury and that he is feeling great, and excited to get back into the ring. Despite being cleared, it is likely that WWE management is very weary and remains extremely cautious in allowing Bryan to come back so soon given his history. On at least two occasions, Bryan has had to give up championship belts due to injuries, something the company hates to do. This in itself is likely to prevent the WWE from wanting to propel Bryan to the top tier to compete for championship belts, despite his talent and loyal fan base.

In addition to Bryan’s history, wrestling insiders claim that over the last several months, the WWE has been facing lawsuits from current and former wrestlers claiming the company has done little to stem brain injuries and support wrestlers who are diagnosed with head problems afterwards. This, in addition to the repeated injuries to Bryan, likely is prompting the WWE to hold him out for at least several more months. In the meantime however, the WWE will without a doubt continue to use Daniel Bryan given his popularity, whether it is a judge on WWE’s Tough Enough, for house shows, or various other charity events. Bryan appeared on Monday Night Raw on August 10 and generated an explosive response from the audience. Bryan’s wrestling career unfortunately will remain in limbo as the WWE debates on what to do, but at least he will continue to make appearances and remain heavily involved in the organization’s operations.
