In the main event Golden Boy’s hard hitting Super Welterweight Brazilian prospect Patrick Teixeira, 25-0-21 KO’s battled Don Mouton, 14-9-1, 12 KO’s. From the opening bell Teixeira came out throwing hooks and combinations to the body of Mouton. By the fifth round Mouton’s face began swell as the attack of Teixeira began to take a toll on Mouton, but when it looked like it might be over Mouton swung a haymaker overhand right and catching Teixeira flush on the jaw stunning him and sending him into the ropes. Teixeira survived the round and by the seventh round the Mouton’s eyes had swelled shut forcing referee Raul Caiz, JR. to stop the fight. Teixeira who left Brazil due to lack of boxing talent recently moved to Argentina and now trains with the Matthysse camp stated “that he felt dominant the entire fight and plans on improving with the help of his team”.

In the Co-Main event the undefeated Zachary “Zungry” Ochoa, 12-0, 5 KO’s took on Alejandro Rodriguez, 24-18-1, 14 KO’s in a 8 round Super Lightweight bout. From the start Ochoa took control of the fight attacking Rodriguez with hard body shots and vicious combinations to the head. In the second round the barrage of punches from Ochoa became too much for Rodriguez to handle as he was floored twice in the round. Rodriguez eventually made it to the third round, but Ochoa smelled the blood and went in for the kill knocking out Rodriguez 22 seconds into round.

Ochoa who’s a prospect in the Golden Boy stable remains undefeated. “I felt good after the first round I knew I had him. I felt good in my performance and plan on continuing to bring my best to ring in the future” said Ochoa after the fight.
