Golden Boy’s LA Fight Club to Celebrate Their One Year Anniversary

Friday March 4th marks the one year anniversary of Golden Boy Promotions, LA Fight Club Series. Set to headline the show is NABO Lightweight Champion Michael “The Artist” Perez, 23-1-2, 11 KO’s, of Newark, New Jersey. Michael will make his LA FIGHT CLUB debut when he takes on the heavy handed Mexican warrior Martin “El Brochas” Honorio, 33-9-1, 16 KO’s of Mexico City at The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Perez who will try to make 2016 the biggest year of his career, will be in for an all out war when he takes on Honorio. “The Artist” is on the verge of a world title shot, as he is ranked in the top five by both the WBO and WBA. Following 2015 victories against former WBA Lightweight World Champion, Miguel “Aguacerito” Acosta and Luis “Chespi” Sanchez that netted him the NABO Lightweight Title and extended his unbeaten streak to nine.

The exciting 26-year-old now must beat the experienced Honorio in his Fight Club debut before competing for a world title in 2016. Martin who is not new to fighting at The Belasco Theater is eager to build off his November 2015 win over Miguel “El Anestesista” Angel Huerta. “El Brochas” believes that he still has a title run in him. As one of the most respected veterans in the sport, “El Brochas” has been in with Antonio Orozco, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and John Molina, JR.in the course of his nearly 17 year career in the sport, and he has no intention of becoming a stepping stone for a rising star like Michael “The Artist” Perez.

Also fighting on the card is Christian “Chimpa” Gonzalez, 12-0, 11 KO’s of Buena Park, California as he’ll make his 5th appearance at LA FIGHT CLUB against the battle tested David “Dangerous” Rodela, 17-12-4, 7 KO’s of Oxnard, California in 8 round co-main Super Featherweight event. In the Estrella TV opening fight fans will witness a battle of the unbeaten fighters as Oscar “El Jaguar” Negrete, 12-0, 5 KO’s will face off against undefeated Neftali Campos, 11-0, 9 KO’s of Tijuana, Mexico in an 8 round bout.

Also fighting Friday night is newly signed Golden Boy Promotions fighter and brother of Golden Boy stable mate Ronny Rios, Alexis Rocha of Santa Ana, California as he makes his professional debut in a 4 round Super Welterweight against Diego Padilla, 1-2 of Los Angeles. Also part of the live stream, Los Angeles undefeated fighter, Ivan “Striker” Delgado, 8-0-1, 2 KO’s will face Jesus Sandoval, 5-8-3, 1 KO’s of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico in a 6 round Super Featherweight fight. Super Bantamweight and So. Cal favorite, Rafael “El Alikin” Gramajo, 6-1-1, 2 KO’s will battle it out in a 6 round bout against undefeated Sharone Carter, 4-0, 2 KO’s of St. Louis Missouri. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the first bout begins at 5:30 p.m. The Ring TV live stream will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. PT through 7:00 p.m.

The Estrella TV Boxeo Estelar broadcast will air live on Friday, March 4 at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT. and will stream live simultaneously on estrellaTV.com and on YouTube via Fenomeno Studios: youtube.com/FenomenoStudios.
