Ring 2The middleweight clash between David Lemieux and James de la Rosa was scrapped, but the the show went on as scheduled on Saturday night at the Casino de Montreal.

In the new main event, undefeated super welterweight Steven “Bang Bang” Butler (15-0-1, 12 KOs) battered and stopped previously unbeaten Sladjan “The Tiger” Janjanin (13-1, 11 KOs) in round three to claim the vacant IBF Youth title. After two knockdowns in round two, the bout was waved off by the referee to protect Janjanin from receiving further abuse. Time was 2:13.

In the co-feature, super middleweight upset artist Darnell “Deezol” Boone (23-23, 12 KOs) nearly surprised local favorite Schiller “Batman” Hyppolite (20-1, 13 KOs). Boone dropped Hyppolite in both rounds five and six and had him in lots of trouble, but Boone then ran out of gas. Hyppolite won by scores of 95-93, 96-93, 95-93.
