Oy Vay are you going to hear it today… Well, folks, Sadie has broken my bagels over her latest bathroom remodel and to say I want to go to the Bahamas, is an understatement! But a happy wife, makes for a happy life. Who is the sonofabitch who came up with that saying? I will lay him out with a left hook! However, as long as I have my boxing films to watch, Sadie can do what she wants in the house when she wants too…
Al Haymon… Can you say Frank Morgan from the Wizard of Oz? Who the hell is this guy anyway? Is he the Howard Hughes of boxing? He doesn’t go to fights, you don’t see him at press conferences and I am starting to wonder does he even exist or is he is Keyser Soze? I am hearing nothing good lately from my old chums about this guy and they are in the know!
Gennady “GGG” Golovkin… One reason Canelo “Make Up a Weight” Alvarez is not fighting him and that is he knows “GGG” will destroy him in the ring. Come on Oscar De La Hoya, cash out on him after he wipes his ass with Amir Khan. The boxing world deserves it. You fought the best, now let your red headed cash cow do the same especially since he holds the World Boxing Council Middleweight Strap.
Wilfredo Gomez… I was ringside for his war against Lupe Pintor in 82. That fight beats 90% of the fights today and made me an even bigger Gomez fan that night after he beat Pintor in the 14th.
Robert Mitchum… “Mitch” was a close associate of mine who I met back in the early 60’s. He drank hard, talked hard and was one heck of an actor.

My Pal Al (“Bad” Brad’s Father)…. Loyalty! The word of the day that Al was to a tee. He had a crew who on a phone call, would be there by his side during thick and thin. Why was that? He was loyal to them. In what seems to be a dying trait in this world today, it was always refreshing to know Al was loyal to a fault. Sadly, and I mean this very strongly, there are not enough Alvin Berkwitt’s around anymore and it makes me sad that my closet friend is gone. I love you Al and always will. Don’t worry, Bradley is carrying your torch high and you would be proud.
The Chutzpah Award… The Chutzpah Award Posthumously goes to former Supreme Court Justice and Civil Rights Activist Thurgood Marshall. 
There are not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe this amazing man. I met him one time at a lecture back in 1975 and had a chance to talk with him for several minutes. To say it was an honor, is an understatement. RIP…
