Oy Vay are you going to hear it today… Sadie is off with the Yenta Club of Biscayne, so I am free to write. So let’s get right into it.

Sergey Kovalev – Andre Ward… I watched the Kovalev fight last night and though he won, I now will go on record. Andre Ward is going to give him major problems pulling out a decision in the 116 -112 range. The only thing Kovalev has over Ward is power, but Ward will not stay in the pocket to prove he can trade. If he does, then all bets are off and Kovalev will win by stunning KO.

Sugar Ray Leonard… If we had a SRL today, boxing would be front and center once again. We have many great fighters, but none equal Ray.

Don Rickles… Did you know my meshuga pal of 60 years actually studied acting at the actor’s studio? He is an accomplished actor who doesn’t get enough credit for it. Here are Don’s top five movies.

5. X: The Man with X-Ray Eyes
4. Casino
3. Rat Race
2. Run Silent Run Deep
1. Kelly Heroes

My Pal Al (“Bad” Brad’s Father)…

Al met this hot broad one night at a club we went to back on Miami Beach in the early 60’s. She was probably 5’8 and Al was only 5’2. He walks up to her with a straight face and says, “Hi I’m Al. I drive a pervertible.” The broad looks at me and is baffled. Al then says, “Yes, a pervertible, the top doesn’t go down, but the driver does”! Needless to say, 20 minutes later, Al and this hot number were leaving the club. The next morning my phone rings and it’s Al. “Packy, not only did that line work, she said she was coming back tonight because her top seems to be stuck and would like it to go down”! Yes, Al, only you could pull this line off and leave with the hot number. I truly miss you…

The Chutzpah Award… The Chutzpah Award Posthumously goes to Eli Wallach. He was a fantastic and underrated actor who always fought for the all actors to get better roles and equality among minorities who didn’t always get the roles they so deserved.MV5BMjA4OTM3ODQ5MF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMzE3OTcwMjE@._V1_UY317_CR17,0,214,317_AL_
