Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller Returns to the Ring on August 19th – Boxing News

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, 17-0-1, 15 KO’s, will face the durable and vastly experienced Fred Kassi ,18-5-1, 10 KO’s, headlining a tripleheader live on SHOWTIME from the outdoor soccer venue Rhinos Stadium in Rochester, N.Y. on Friday, August 19th.

The 28-year old prospect Jarrell Miller is an American kickboxer and undefeated boxer who now competes in the heavyweight division. “Big Baby”, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, is of Caribbean and Latin American descent. Miller took up Muay Thai as a way to defend himself after being attacked on the street. He began Muay Thai at age of 14 and boxing at 16. As an amateur boxer, Miller reached the final of the 2007 New York Golden Gloves Heavyweight tournament at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

Miller, who has drawn some comparisons to Mike Tyson recently, is known for being one of the most exciting young heavyweight boxers in the United States. The 6-foot-4“Big Baby” is set to show the country that he is the future of the sport.

Two young undefeated bantamweight prospects will square off as the co-feature as world-ranked Nikolay Potapov ,14-0-1, 6 KO’s, and Antonio Nieves ,16-0-1, 8 KO’s, meet in a 10-round bantamweight bout. Potapov’s only other fight this year was a contest against Stephon Young, 14-0-2, for the vacant WBA-NABA bantamweight title, which was scored a majority draw back in April. Nieves’ last contest was an unanimous decision victory over Oscar Mojica,9-1, 1 KO, for the vacant WBO-NABO bantamweight title back in June.

Also on the card, undefeated welterweight knockout artist Bakhtiyar Eyubov ,10-0, 10 KO’s, will face battle-tested veteran Karim Mayfield ,19-3-1, 11 KO’s, in a 10-round contest.
