Last night on PBC on FS1; unbeaten super middleweight prospect Caleb “Sweet Hands” Plant looked very comfortable in the ring as he cruised to a shutout unanimous decision victory over hard hitting Juan De Angel. Plant easily outclassed De Angel, making it look easy from the opening bell.

Plant came out early working his jab to the body and head of the Columbian, as De angel surprisingly circled away from the undefeated American. Plant suffered a cut on his forehead in the 9th round due to an accidental head-butt, but that was the most damage he took in the fight. Plant dropped De Angel in the fourth round and continued to walk him down; mixing up jabs, straight right hands, and left hooks to the body and head. Plant easily won a unanimous decision as all three judges scored the fight 100-89 in his favor. Caleb Plant improved his record to 14-0, 10 KO’s and Juan De Angel fell to 18-5-1, 17 KO’s.

In the co-main event; two former stablemates, Kareem Martin and David Grayton squared off in an 8 round welterweight bout. The fight started with Grayton working his jab and throwing combinations, as martin countered effectively with counter right hands. In the fourth round; Martin started to use his legs more as Grayton stayed on the attack. Grayton continued to gain momentum, and pressed the attack as Martin seemed to get tired. In the eighth and final round; Grayton dropped Martin for the first time in his career; and the fight was stopped by the referee 41 seconds into the round. Martin fell to 8-1-1, 3 KO’s and Grayton improved to 15-1, 11 KO’s.

In the opening bout of the evening; Carlos Gongora, 6-0, 5 KO’s won a first round TKO over Ronald Mixon, 7-1, 6 KO’s in a light heavyweight match up.
