Today is the 15-year anniversary of the fight between Kostya “Thunder From Down Under” Tszyu and Zab “Super” Judah. Thunder proved too thunderous and provided the kryptonite for “Super”, winning the duel by a dramatic and thrilling second round TKO, after having lost the first round on all three scorecards by 10-9. With the win, Tszyu retained the titles of WBC World Super Lightweight Champion and WBA (Super) World Super Lightweight Champion, and also won the title of IBF World Super Lightweight Champion, thus becoming Undisputed World Super Lightweight Champion.

It was Judah´s first professional defeat, and his record became 27-1, 21 KO’s. Judah was later suspended for half a year and had to pay a penalty for the Nevada State Athletic Commission, because he attacked referee Jay Nady and threw his corner´s stool to the center of the ring once referee Nady ended the contest.
