Adam Lopez Returns to the Ring on November 11th – Boxing News

On November 11th, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA, undefeated and world ranked super bantamweight Adam Lopez, 15-0-1, 7 KO’s will face Carlos Valcarcel, 14-8-4, 5 KO’s in a scheduled eight-round main event bout that will be televised on the inaugural broadcast on ONE World Sports. The 25-year old Lopez, who resides in San Antonio, Texas, is currently ranked 4th by the WBA. In his last bout, Lopez fought to a ten-round split decision draw with Roman Reynoso on July 22nd in Mashantucket, Connecticut. The 34-year old Valcarcel , from Miami, Florida, has wins over Jovanny Soto, Rodolfo Garay, and Leivi Brea. The 12-year veteran has also fought former world champion Eric Morel and new WBO World Super Bantamweight champion Jesse Magdaleno.

Also on the card, in the scheduled eight-round co-feature, undefeated welterweight prospect Ed Brown, 18-0, 15 KO’s will be squaring off against Albert Mensah, 29-5-1, 13 KO’s. The 24-year old Brown, from Chicago, Illinois, is coming off a six-round unanimous decision win over Gilbert Venegas on July 30th in Hammond, Indiana. The 33-year old Mensah, from Ghana, is a 14-year veteran who has win over former WBO Lightweight champion Michael Katsidis on his resume. Mensah has fought fourteen undefeated fighters in his career, and is 12-2 in those contests.
Also, scheduled to be in action, super middleweight prospect Jerry “The King’s Son” Odom, 14-2-1, 13 KO’s will be facing Taneal Goyco, 8-9-1, 3 KO’s. The 23-year old Odom, from Washington D.C., stopped Julius Jackson (19-1) in his last bout back on July 22nd in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Odom avenged a controversial disqualification defeat by crushing previously unbeaten Andrew Hernandez in one round. Goyco, from Philadelphia, has wins over previously undefeated fighters such as Jeremy Trussell and Devin Butcher. Goyco is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision defeat to Tony Hirsch on June 11th in Oakland, California.

Undefeated welterweight prospect Jaron Ennis, 6-0, 5 KO’s will be facing Chris Alexander, 4-2, 3 KO’s.

Undefeated welterweight prospect Kenneth Sims JR, 9-0, 3 KO’s will also see action Friday night. His opponent has not been named yet.
