Strikeforce Grand Prix Breaking News

This past Saturday’s Strikeforce Grand Prix:Fedor vs Silva event broke all of the Strikeforce organization’s existing ratings records for Showtime. According to Showtime representatives the Strikeforce broadcast drew 741,000 viewers. The Strikeforce event peaked with 1.1 million viewers for the main event between Fedor and Silva respectively.
The previous ratings record that was held by Strikeforce was the event featuring MMA sweetheart Gina Carano as she faced “Cyborg” Santos in August of 2009. That event averaged 576,000 viewers and peaked during the main event with 856,000 viewers.
