Triple H, The Undertaker, The Rock & John Cena: Wrestlemania Update

By Kevin Nelson

This week’s edition of RAW took place in Chicago, Illinois, with CM Punk talking about his attack on Randy Orton and explained that Orton had gained a false sense of security with him, injuring each member of the Nexus.

Randy Orton proceeded to come out and attack Punk and as he would get the better of him during there exchanges, and as he lined up for a boot to the head, his knee would give out and Punk would seize the opportunity and hit his finishing move.

Next was a match featuring the duo of Edge and Christian reunited in a match with Brodus Clay and Alberto Del Rio. Edge would get the pin on Clay but Del Rio would have the cross arm breaker on Christian and as Edge chased Del Rio backstage, he hid and managed to attack from behind.

The next announcement was the arrival of Sin Cara (Mystico) appearing on RAW in his first match next week.

Santino Marella faced Justin Gabriel and defeated him. He was joined by The Big Show and Kane along with Vladimir Kozlov. It was announced that they would be facing the Corre at Wrestlemania.

HHH and the Undertaker entered the ring and were joined by Shawn Michaels. One thing is for sure, these three can sell a fight. I can’t help but think that if they would put this much effort into every show, they would be going back to the glory days of the Attitude Era where the popularity of the WWE was at its highest.

The confrontation would end with Shawn Michaels telling HHH that he can’t defeat the Undertaker.

Next was a match with Jack Swagger facing Jerry Lawler and after weeks of tormenting Lawler and attacking him; Jack Swagger, the trainer of Michael Cole, received several chair shots courtesy of The King.

Afterward he would go after Cole but his security team was on him. The next bout up was Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler teaming up to face John Morrison and Daniel Bryan. Sheamus would get the pin on Bryan and he is on a roll now. The next was the announcement of the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering being inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Trish Stratus and Snooki were in New Jersey, drinking at a bar, when Laycool interrupted them and attacked them. Trish and Snooki would get the better of the fight and security would escort Laycool out.

The much anticipated showdown was next, with The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) coming down followed by John Cena. As Cena would confront him, and the two were on the verge of fighting, the Miz entered the ring. He challenged The Rock and attacked him. The Rock would throw The Miz and Alex Riley out the ring and Cena would hit The Rock with his finishing move.

To add insult to injury, he would throw a little you can’t see me in his face, adding more heat to the upcoming Wrestlemania.
