Smackdown Spoilers & WWE Breaking News: Triple H – Undertaker Shocker

By Sean Farrell

Ok well this week as usual, I am bringing you the WWE Smackdown Spoilers and Results for this Friday night. However, I am going to change it up and start first with other WWE news and notes for all you RSR Pro-Wrestling, I mean *Cough* Entertainment fans. Please feel free to comment or e-mail regarding WWE and TNA I am here to help.

As I reported in my Wrestlemania coverage, Triple H delivered a chair shot to the head of the Undertaker unprotected which is illegal now since its only Entertainment. WWE has announced on their corporate website at corporate.wwe.com that both men were fined for a chair shot to the head in their match this past Sunday at Wrestlemania XXVII. Here is the announcement from their site: Pursuant to WWE’s Concussion policy, the stunt of using a folded metal chair shot to the head is prohibited. Triple H and The Undertaker have both been fined for violating this policy at WrestleMania XXVII. WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension for violation of this policy, which is unchanged and still in effect.

This shouldn’t be a shock in the PG-era or the “post-concussion” era as I like to call it and it is a good move for them to protect their Entertainers.

Speaking of Entertainers World Wrestling Entertainment has announced they are dropping “Wrestling” from its brand entirely and will strictly be referred to as Entertainment not Pro-Wrestling.

I personally have the website abuzz with all of the Sin Cara coverage I have been bringing everyone and here is some more news. There is reportedly a lot of pressure on Sin Cara to deliver on RAW. He’s been pegged as the next Rey Mysterio for obvious reasons and will be asserted into an immediate title picture but it hasn’t been disclosed as to which but the US title seems to be the subject.

And for EVERYONE who dislikes the Miz please stop he really does have a concussion after Mania. The Miz’s concussion is legit; he suffered it when he hit his head on the cement after he went over the barricade (THAT WAS NOT KAYFABE). Miz wrote about the concussion on his Twitter, tweeting, “Doctors said to not watch TV, read, think, basically use my brain due to my concussion. So no tweets. My 1st tweet back. ‘I TOLD YOU SO!'”

Here is a backstage update for everyone concerned with the WWE’s current direction. Monday night’s RAW was heavily rewritten at the last minute, the plan in the early afternoon was to have Triple H and Undertaker Rematch at Summerslam with Taker vs. Cena taking place at WrestleMania 28. Obviously, that has changed and they announced Cena vs. the Rock a year in advance. The long-term plan has always been to build WrestleMania 28 around the Rock, even if not in a wrestling capacity like this year.

Some also believe this is why Miami was chosen as the pay-per-view location as this is a preferred destination for the Rock. Furthermore, Vincent Kennedy McMahon was reportedly going crazy all weekend changing match orders and the like for WrestleMania. This happens all the time but this weekend he changed his mind on what seemed to be an hourly basis according to the company workers I speak with. Having Jim Ross call RAW Monday night was a last-minute decision also. Ross noted earlier via Twitter that he wasn’t notified about calling RAW until nearly 6 pm ET. This appears to be a one-time deal though.

Its almost time for the WWE to do their annual “Spring Cleaning” and 10-14 Superstars will be released this month, with the cancelation of WWE Superstars on WGN many of those talents are expected to be cut.
