Christopher Meloni NOT Coming Back to SVU: INSIDE STORY

By Geno McGahee

Christopher Meloni isn’t returning to NBC’s LAW & ORDER: Special Victims Unit this fall, which is a shame. He played the role of “Elliot Stabler,” a hot-headed detective that loved to beat up child molesters. His partner Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) will be returning.

Universal Media Studios was reportedly not able to come to an agreement with Meloni, which is a huge blow to the show. Stabler and Benson were a great combo and much fun to watch.

LAW & ORDER: Special Victims Unit may not have that much life left after the loss of one of the big stars. Who will they get to fill the gap? They have tried before when Jerry Orbach passed away on the regular LAW & ORDER, but the shoes were too big to fill. The same can be said here. What will happen to Stabler’s messed up son? What about his messed up daughter? His failed marriage? Come on Universal Media Studios…give him what he wants!

Will you miss Christopher Meloni on SVU?
